HENDERSON – Henderson’s first gated community is slated to be built over on Radio
Lane in the coming months. The planned community will contain 16 two-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouses, each one story and 1,273 square feet, arranged into quadplexes. The homes will have
attached garages, hardwood floors and sun decks as well. Tim Hester, the developer, said he had been toying with the idea of a gated community for some time. Prim Development had built gated communities elsewhere that saw
success, he said. He himself stayed in one down in Louisiana, once upon a time. “It’s close to town, close to evervthing.” said Hester as to why Prim located the
community on Radio Lane. “It’s close to our office, too. It’s a good spot.”
He hopes, with the need for housing, that the new community sees success. Assuming the skies stay placid, construction should begin in the coming days, said Hester. The estimated time of completion looks to be eight months after the beginning of construction. The plan is to build one quadplex, rent out or sell the four units, then build the next.
The development represents a $5 million investment in the county.
